How to Make Italian Sausage Pasta with Broccoli and Tomatoes
1 lb ground Italian sausage
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon roasted garlic paste
1 head of fresh broccoli, cut into florets
1-pint cherry tomatoes halved lengthwise
1 lb pasta - Mezzi Paccheri used here
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Sea salt flakes & fresh cracked pepper to taste
Freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, for garnish
In a skillet, cook the sausage with olive oil until brown.
Stir in garlic paste and tomatoes, cook 3-4 minutes
Stir in broccoli florets, reduce heat, cover and simmer on low until broccoli is tender.
Cook pasta until tender, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
Add pasta and water to skillet mix.
Plate, garnish with freshly grated cheese.
